Inher first season at Cosumnes River College, she led the team with15 goals and nine assists at the starting center midfielder spot.For her spectacular play, Ramos was named the Big 8 Conference All-Conference Offensive MVP and was also selected as member of theNSCAA/Adidas All-Region team for the first time in her career. Withthe Hawks, Nydia's teammates named her MVP of the women's soccerteam during the 2008-09 season while she maintained solid academicachievement as a Scholar Baller. At the end of her career atCosumnes, Ramos ended her sophomore season with eight goals and sixassists, sealing her name on the Big 8 All-Conference list for thesecond-straight year. Again, she was able to maintain her honorroll status and earned her second-consecutive Scholar Balleraward.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>High School:</strong><br> Nydia lettered three times at Franklin High School in Elk Grove,Calif. As a senior, Ramos was the team's captain, capping off astellar career that began with MVP honors as a freshman on the JVsquad. She was a two-time All-Delta Conference honoree. Outside ofschool, Nydia played for the Sacramento United club for threeyears. The team was highly decorated, claiming first place in theHarvest Fest in 2008, first in the Sac United Cup in 2007 and 2006,and the squad also took home first place at the El Dorado Cupduring the 2007 season. She also earned letters with the women'sbasketball team and the cross country team.</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Personal:</strong><br> Born in Sacramento, Calif., Nydia is the daughter of Armando andYolanda Ramos. She has two brothers, Armando Jr. and Alberto. Sheis an environmental science major in her first year at Pacific,with career plans to become an environmental scientist. In her freetime she enjoys baking, taking pictures and laughing.</p>
